The long term goal of Jardine Retreat is to build a music retreat center for musicians and music enthusiasts to enjoy. Although that is still a little ways down the line, we are starting with sponsoring and promoting local music and touring musicians. Keep an eye on this page for upcoming events. Zondra is currently the Vice President of the non-profit organization, Weiser Friends of the Fiddle (AKA Stickerville), which helps put on a music festival once a year in conjunction with the National Oldtime Fiddler's Contest located in Weiser, ID. Focused on music education and camaraderie amongst musicians, Zondra hopes to create similar type gatherings in Jardine.
Jardine Retreat is a proud sponsor of the Electric Peak Arts Council. For over 20 years, the Electric Peak Arts Council has enriched the rural communities near the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park with performing and visual arts. Their mission is to foster the appreciation of art in people of all ages. They do this by showcasing a diversity of musical, theatrical, literary, and visual artists, and encourage community members to attend performances and workshops, and participate in creative community-based projects.
